Early arrival

Good morning,

I haven't had a chance to post, but the girls are here!!! Missy went into the hospital on 6/26 to try to get some relief from back spasms. She was really uncomfortable, so they decided to do the c-section that day! Less than 4 hours after we arrived at the hospital, the girls were here.

Melinda Ann was born at 3:04 P.M. at 5 lbs 11 oz, 18 3/4 inches....Followed 2 minutes later by Danielle Cortney at 5 lbs 15 oz, 19 inches.

Everyone is doing great....Everyone came home 4 days later.

I'll post a picture of each soon.

Afterwards, I think I'll retire this blog and start another one.

Cutie little clothes

Things are still going well....Only 6 days and counting....Missy is feeling pretty good...Just the normal pregnancy complaints: tired, heartburn, swollen legs, etc.

I took a picture of the little outfits we bought for the girls wear home.

The nursery is just about done....I just have to hang some wallpaper tomorrow and finish up the chair rail.

Getting close!!

Missy had a level 2 ultrasound this week....Everyone is doing great!!! There weren't any pictures to post, but we did get estimated weights...Leftie was 4 lbs 15 oz and righty was 5 lbs 2 oz. The doctor said that he would expect each one to gain about 1 lb each in the remaining 23 days.

She is starting to have more trouble getting around...Thankfully, she stopped working three weeks ago. The extra naps really help.

The church threw a shower for Missy last month.....These people went nuts!! We have hundreds of diapers, wipes, tons of baby lotions and potions, and clothes. I counted the number of outfits this evening.....160 or so outfits of all different sizes. The back of the station wagon and 1/2 the backseat were filled. We won't have to buy clothes for the first year.

Ultrasounds from May 10, 2005 A.D.

We had another ultrasound this morning....Somebody has to tell these girls that they are twins! The are 3 lbs 3 oz and 3 lbs 7 oz....On the old growth chart this puts them at the 51st and 56th percentiles FOR SINGLETONS!....It's about +10 for twins.

Everything looks great and they are very active.

Things are going just fine. She will stop working on Friday...Her sick time will carry her until the end of the school year. No major complaints other than heartburn. I bought her a little pink dress for Mother's day....Yeah, I know it is a little early to be celebrating that....I don't see any babies around the house. I'll take a picture and post it tomorrow.
